Im a complete videophile newbie, but that tv looks awful im sorry to say. My 55has only one spot that is visible, but lookng at my other posts this one spot is new for me. Its now on the right side just above center. And with led local dimming it goes away almost completely. Send it back, and get another from a local store. It makes returning for poor quality control easier, and once enough of these EXPENSIVE TVs are returned LG just might pay more attention to quality and reliability.
I was considering sending my tv back to BB because of the FL spot on mine. Yes i did say local dimming on low removes it(and makes the blacks really black) but i cant use local dimming in game mode. Seeing your tv though, im thinking my set is as good as its gonnna get. Return yours and dont feel bad if it takes you 5 tvs to get the one you are happy with. If more people didnt accept that the same way we didnt accept the video lag in last years model, then maybe all the 2013 models will be as big an improvement as the 2012 was over the lw5600's. Its your money, get the one you will be happy with. And anyone who complains that we are being picky, ignore. Not many choices for a passive 3D that we can game on, so find the best performing 7600 you can.
Would u like to try my settings? I pulled them from the cnet review for the tv and put them in my expert2 slot. My personal preference has a bit more pop, but its a great proffesionally calibrated start. If u cant find the cnet review settings, just post a reply and ill copy them over. Its worth a shot before u pay returnshipping
