hi peter. i have had this soundbar for about a week to run with my 37 inch vizio. i do notice some problems with it but i am wondering if some of what i notice is just digitzed noise and i have been told i have sensitive hearing. i have been told it takes time for someone to truly make the jump from regular audio to HD audio. i love the soundbar do not get me wrong. but i do sometimes wonder if i got it too early. meaning i may have gotten a first run flawed model. it is at its best when used to augment ambient noise such as movie scores and soundtracks and football background noise. the 2 problems i have are as follows. on one instance i was watching 3 musketeers from redbox on blu ray and i noticed an odd glitch in the audio. where an explosion happened...rather then hearing an engulfing boom and crackle...it almost sounded like the sound bar could not handle it and the sound came out kind of muffled, but i am not sure? also, i just tried a demo on my ps3 for a game called Binary Domain and noticed that on voice setting the audio levels seemed to be a mixed bag for the game voices. again i cannot tell if it is a function of audio mixing for the game or my ears. but from my usage it seems at times the soundbar suffers from not being able to shift its accoustics to highlight certain scenes going on in a game or movie. then again, some of this has been done at admittedly point blank range. and in my experience testing sound bars...you realy cant judge them from about 2 feet away or they will sound blown out, you need to lay back in bed and figure out how room filling the audio is or is not, and how clean the clarity and layers of the audio are.
