LG product registration/Extended warranty ???

i was just on LG 's website registering my new 55LM7600 and thye are offering an extended warranty through LG if purchased within 180 days.

3 year-$161.97
2 year-$113.98
1 year-$59.99

i will attach the terms, is this a better deal than what the big box retailers offer and does this pretty much cover everything like those warranties or is this basivally like the manufacturer warranty but for more than the 1 year they offer at purchase time?

or is it a scam?

glad you asked. I was waiting on the 8600/9600 but saw the same thing through LG and wondered if anyone had any experience with them or knew the details of how they compare with SquareTrade/MAck,etc

I opted for the extended 3 year warranty at 175 days and paid $90 I think for my LG. That was for a 2010 set purchased in January 2011.

Does it cover everything? Like the ones you buy from Bestbuy ? Or is it an extended manufacturers warranty?

I don't know what the BB warranty covers (I bought my LG from BB), but the LG one is an extended mfrs warranty which, if I remember correctly, covers everything that I would want it too. I'd have to go back and read it again, it has been awhile.
