A moment of silence for my man Kryptonitewhite! - Page 2

Dang, that is a terrible loss.

Hope his fam read this and see what positive impact hes had on some folks here, and those who will miss his imponderable conquests.

Every time i see a can of "Great Stuff" He'll
cross my mind.

Peace Brother.

For anyone who spent much time in the DIY section of the AVS was no doubt touched by KW. One of his first threads was one of the only long threads I read all the way through, it was that fun.

He was always a nice person in our personal interactions and he will be missed.

To his family my heart felt condolences.

I'm so sad, this is terrible.

I've not connected to anyone at AVS, as I connected with Jordan. In a world full of posers, wannabees, etc, he was so refreshingly honest, self effacing. He was a real treasure here at AVS.

I'd absolutely love to share some of the incredibly wonderful conversations we had over time via PM. Perhaps when the time is right, I may find some of the more insightful PM's, and share some aspects for all to enjoy. Maybe, we'll see. In time,..they are very nice. I'm sure I'm not alone, he touched many.

I love you man

WTH! I was wondering when he was going to chime in on that Digital Designs thread. RIP Krypto, you made this forum a fun place

Unreal

Some major talent lost. He tried it all. And the worst thing is those kids. I didn't even know he had kids. This saddens me a lot. I have a couple kids myself and can't imagine how they would handle this.

God have mercy.
Wow, very sad. I had followed some of his threads, and the community has lost a very enthusiastic member.

More tragic, those poor 5 kids have lost a father, and that is just horrible. I can't even imagine.

R.i.p.

been awhile since I posted here, but I've always lurked....jordan was awesome and I have to say all the times I talked to him over PM's and whatnot, he was always super enthused about audio and his attitude was "well lets stop conjecturing and just friggin do it!!"

As i posted on one of his threads once, "Jordan, you find the line between obsession and insanity, and drive over that sucker in a ferrari with the pedal to the metal".

I miss the dude already.

I read this when i woke up and it truly struck me in such a sad way...and watching his videos on youtube was equally as emotional.

i did not have much interaction with him, but always enjoyed readying everything he wrote about.

RIP KW...you made an impression on the world...sorry we were not there to catch you.

RIP Jordan, I will be bumping the twins with some epic sub sonics in memory of you this weekend! People like you make me happy to be a box designer and builder! Now, if only we could find the G note, we would have changed the world!
Sam, just seems such a waste. Still can't believe it. I just gone through his emails to me.

This just plain ole sucks!! RIP Jordan and Godspeed!

Very sad news! I wish all his family the best in these tough times.
Sad news indeed. I am sorry to hear this terrible news. I always shook my head in amazement at his zany ideas, but he did always push the boundaries and make the biggest and baddest designs he could.

I lost a friend to suicide a couple of years ago. She left behind a beautiful little daughter and a lot of sad family and friends. My wife and I were shocked when we found out. It really makes you reevaluate your priorities and your relationships. Often times there is no real warning but you still wonder if you could have done something different. I can't imagine the loss K's family is feeling right now. All my best Kwhite........

Oh man...

I only had a few short exchanges with him, but always read through his threads/builds. This is beyond shocking...

Krypto,

Thank you for sharing your time and effort with us. Your fire may be extinguished, but the memory of your fiery personality will live on.

That's terrible news. I haven't been around here long but I did read every word in his monster sub box thread. He was a character for sure but it seemed he lived life on his own terms. It seems he ended it on his own terms too. I feel bad for his kids. He seemed like a great guy.

I was just reading one of his threads a couple days ago, terrible news.

RIP. I will miss the happy and gentle mad scientist of bass that was Kryptonitewhite.

My condolences to his family. It is very sad. I didn't have much interaction with him, but he always seemed very nice to people.

I was always a little concerned about him. He seemed to really seek the attention and approval of internet forums and stated so himself. I don't mean this in a bad way as much as I think it was a dangerous. Internet interactions, especially with the pseudo-anonymity and ambiguity of forums, are simply no substitute for in person social interactions.

I recall his last posts. They were even more erratic than usual. I think Erich was trying to help him and it was obvious he was having some problems in his life. I think Erich saw some foreboding signs and tried to help.

I feel like many people encouraged his behavior and I agree with Erich that it was simply unhealthy. I admire his passion like the others on this thread and we are all a little obsessed with this stuff, but just like having a few beers is not a problem, alcoholism certainly is. I'm not saying anyone on here did anything wrong as much as I don't think we quite realize the pitfalls of internet social interactions.

As much as I enjoy the interaction of internet forums, it really isn't a substitute for actual in person interaction. It is hard to tell from his last post what he is really thinking. In a way it makes me wonder about Penngray too. He probably had more posts on all of AVS than anybody else, got in a spat and hasn't been heard from since. I'm guessing everything is fine with him, but the reality is that logging ~15,000 posts over a few years is hardly normal.

Anyway, RIP KW.

This news saddens me deeply.
I have enjoyed reading your threads, watching your vids and the contributions/impact you had to the DIY section of this forum.

To me, you were to DIY subwoofers what a true hot rodder was to cars in the 1940-60s, an Innovator!
and you did so with a modest/limited budget yet got ridiculously impressive results!
You will be severely missed. God Speed and my condolences to your family and friends.

RIP

He was an original for sure.

That's a bit of shock I've seen some of his, posts around.
Too young

Terrible news. I'm not as shocked as many appear to be, but devastated to read this news. He was very genuine and that is a rare quality indeed.

My prayers are with him and his family.

RIP Jordan.

KW, you will be missed, and were admired in many ways. Very sad reading this.

I've been avoiding posting in this thread because nothing seemed appropriate. I think it's one of the tragic ironies of life that those who choose to take their own are the ones most missed when gone.
