A moment of silence for my man Kryptonitewhite! - Page 3

He was born July 24, 79. He lived 11,867 days and today I am exactly 11,867 days old. What can I say....I will truly miss the guy. It deeply saddens me to know he is gone forever.

ya that sucks. He was only a few days younger than me too. I know first hand what his family and friends must be going through....I sure do feel for them.

Find peace, Jordan. Condolences to the family.

Shocked. His presence will be sadly missed.

I didn't know him much but read his posts on here often. Very sad news indeed.

Here is to KW, hope you are rattling the heavens with the perfect bass that you pursued here on earth!

Wow, RIP... I remember reading some of those last posts and being very concerned.. something in the tone - I would check out his status occasionally to see if he had posted anything.. sad.

Suicide is the ultimate theft, not from the person, but from the family. I am truly remorseful for the pain that the family and friends feel.

But as a person who had tasted first hand the pain of suicide, I hope that someone reads this, and rel/zed that if your life is that bad, that it can only get better. Don't be a pu**y and make everyone else hurt for your decesions.

Please understand, that this is not meant to undermine the pain that kryto (Jordan) felt, but as a reminder, that even if you end your pain, that the people that love you are still here to feel it, and we would much rather do it with you, than without.... I miss you bro...

Wow, I remember talking to him on realmofexcursion when he started building the van. R.I.P.

Having a hard time writing this one....

Though I never watched all his videos, there were just too many... I always thought they were cool and different. I did; however, read the majority of his posts, and always thought they were cool and different. He was one of the really interesting minds out there, always wanting to test the limits of what could be done, and never stopping even when people told him his ideas were impossible.

Jordan, you will be missed,
Alex

Holy crap....I tend to go AWOL for a while in this forum...and this is NOT good news to come back to. KW was a really fun person on the forum, and I think he brought a lot of interesting ideas and passion to it.

Rest in Peace, KW.

RIP KW. I never interacted with you, but I found your posts entertaining and full of life. The passion you brought to the hobby and the community is matched by few. My condolences to your family.

I was very shocked and saddened to see this thread last week. I didn't know Krypto but read many of his posts and threads and enjoyed how passionate he was about this hobby. I think it hit home because I feel a connection with people on this forum, even though I rarely post but read daily, because of the passion we all share.

Wednesday morning I learned that a good friend of mine's girlfriend of 8 years had taken her own life Tuesday night. It is a horrible tragedy that will be felt for the rest of many peoples lives. This made it hit home so much more. We all need to try to be better friends and love our loved ones right. Once they are gone there is nothing we can do and and we don't want to live with regret over something we did or didn't do.

RIP Jordan
RIP Peggy

This really makes me sad. I honestly don't even know Jordan on a personal level, and had only ever seen a few of his posts, but this really has me shocked. I fully understand what it's like to have personal demons, and the toll it can take on a person. It's terrible, and really leaves people in a bad situation. As depression and suicide has taken it's toll on my family, it hits all too close to home.

I decided to go to his page, and see what some of this last posts were about. He seemed to post a response to someone on multiple threads. The same post, to what seems like the same person, responding to a bit of an insult.

I'll never leave another condescending or insulting post for another member again. I'm guilty of doing this in the past, but will try my best to treat everyone with respect. Regardless of circumstances.

RIP Jordan.

This is tragic news. Wilesone is right, we all should try harder to be better friends and truly cherish the people we have in our lives. Life is fragile.....

Wow. Missed this thread entirely and was just thinking that I hadn't seen him post in a while and noticed the 1-10hz shuttle launch thread for Krypto and did a search. That's really, really depressing. Rest in peace bud.

I know exactly the feeling with this. Most here know I work in a branch of law enforcement and a few years back one of my coworkers killed himself. Several things were happening with him at the time, but the funeral attendance was incredible. The procession was filled with a mix of family, friends, and police cars. In full motion I wouldn't be surprised if it were 3 or 4 miles long. People arrived at the cemetary while others were still waiting at the funeral home.

While I am one to believe that suicide is a completely selfish way to go, I have not been in a situation bad enough personally that it would even be a consideration. While I can't comment directly in his situation, I do hope his immediate family as well as his audio family learns to cope with the loss of him. I hope he has found better places and one that he can continue to amaze people with his straight to the point chat as well as his absurd and brilliant ideas. I rarely laugh out loud reading forum chat, but clearly remember when I saw his nearly 100 cubic feet of sub enclosures paired with what were most likely 2" full range satellite speakers.

I emailed his mum to say how sorry I was for her personally as I got to know Jordan pretty well. This is what she said regarding his condition and that the outcome was due to his illness and not every day issues that people have.

Jordan suffered from Bi-Polar, major depression, many social anxieties, paranoia and a form of agoraphobia. His forums was how he how he was able to reach out to others. Something he could not do in person. He has worked on his audio ideas since he was 17 when he first became afflicted with these disorders. His first speaker box was 2'x2'xx4'. He ould put it in a closet and listen to it. To feel the vibrations. We would have to go outside and pound the nails back in. It is a good thing it was a rental house.

When I went back and read some of his comments on facebook and various forums you could hear it in his words regarding his pain.

Such a big shame.

From time to time I would read one of his threads, It would always make me smile. He will be missed. This summer when the thunderstorms roll through the area I will imagine it is Jordan trying to achieve 5 continuous minutes of 2 Hz.

RIP

If there is anything to learn from his passing maybe, just maybe it's that we should treat people online like they are our neighbors....and care alittle more.

I didn't know Krypto all that well but I read my share of his threads. To me it's a shame that so many people criticized him for his views or even just the fact he posted so many threads. There are even people in this very thread that pushed him away from this very forum that was seemingly keeping him alive.

Sure some people in here know alot more about audio and video but we are all equal in here and deserving of respect as a human being. Maybe it's time for us to realize that maybe it's just not worth the effort to scold someone for doing something as simple as posting a few more threads than the majority of us might seem normal.

"Each to their own." I have a feeling that this was almost Kryptos' life motto.

At least I can say this, his passing has inspired me to be more aware of how I talk and act online. This was ALL he had and he deserved to be treated better.

RIP Jordan
