I have the most elemental form of audio distribution. Two Niles SVL-4 I think with a Yamaha power amp that has two channels. The equipment is located inside the main room and each of the 8 zones is wired with speaker wire.
My amp went out and I am trying to upgrade a little. What could I do to be able to individually power and control every zone. Not all zones are crucial to control individually because of their proximity to each other, but I would like to if needed to control all different zones. I mainly use XM, itunes, and sometimes cable music. The main receiver Denon AVR-4810 powers the main room and I have an RCA that feeds currently my house audio.
What options do I have? I would like to avoid rewiring or adding more if possible. Could you experts give me suggestions? Can i do this using an ipad or iphone?
