I have a much higher end system than what someone in my family could afford. So we set them up with a budget system. I know what my settings need to be for my stuff, but the lower end equipment is a different story.
They have a Pioneer 521 AVR, with Monoprice in-ceiling speakers and a 12 inch BIC America Sub.

The Pioneer auto calibration ran, and set the crossover at 100Hz. I've always set mine to 80Hz. I see the Frequency rating on the site, but you never know how well a speaker goes in the lower range.
What are your thoughts?
