Return Panasonic or use conceirge service?

I received my 55ST30 today. Unfortunately it has a dead green subpixel. I bought it from Amazon. Should I return through them, not sure if they have anymore 55ST30's since they are no longer listed, or should I try Panasonic's conceirge service? The pixel is about 3 inches right of center.

I'd do whatever is easiest for you. I don't know anything about the concierge service but I would definitely call amazon and see what your options are. You definitely shouldn't pay anything out of pocket being a new tv.

Had a "flickering" pixel on my brand me Samsung Plasma. It went away after watching TV for a few mins/hours. Maybe yours will go away too.

I would return it through amazon.

Can you see the dead pixel from your normal viewing distance? If not, and if you don't want to spend more money on the new 55ST50, then i'd keep the TV (at least for now) if you're certain that Amazon does not have any replacement TV's left and hope that the pixel fixes itself in the next few weeks.

If you can see the dead pixel from your viewing position and it bothers you, your choices are (A) see if Panasonic will replace your defective panel under warranty (they usually will if it is ruining your viewing experience), or (B) return the TV to Amazon under your 30 day return policy.

Ok, i contacted Amazon and they will check if they have any stock available. If they don't and I return it should I go GT30 for 300 more, or st50 for 550 more? I am open to options, since I zeroed in on the ST30 and pretty much stopped looking 8 months ago, just waited for the right time.

I cannot go bigger than 55" .... No more wall space.

Amazon has no more 55ST30s available. I'm going to take Randy's advice and see how it does in the real world i.e. not sldes. For the price I don't think I will find a better tv, dead pixel or not.
