Global Cache seems to be the weapon of choice for all of the apps - but there are other alternatives that may have slightly more favorable price-points and/or feature sets.
GC has wired and wireless models that work just about identically.
I don't have first-hand knowledge of DemoPad, but assume it is very similar to iRule and Roomie - the latter two provide IP, IR, 232 and on/off (relay-type) control capabilities, depending on the hardware being controlled and the chosen controller.
My perception is that iRule is more customizable than Roomie, but it has a steeper/longer learning curve. I've been able to get a functional Roomie setup configured in under 15 minutes. Both good products, but each has a slightly different appeal.
There are dedicated threads for all these products in this forum, but hopefully this gives you a rough idea of some of the high-level product capabilities.
