Yep, captivated a genration,....the same can't be said for the Shuttle.
The complexity of the multi-stage launch, the lunar landings, subsequent launch and docking with the command module,...all to splash down with a Navy battle group rescue,...bad-ass.
Everyone remembers the Neil Armstrong first steps, etc. But what amazed me was the re-entry and splash-down, rescue effort. Proud, proud, proud.Group-Think

Anyone here ever had the opportunity to view the re-entry video recorded in the cabin of the last Shuttle disaster, Columbia perhaps,...burning up upon re-entry? Eerie stuff, as the fiery aura forms around the shuttle as they talk and comment on the fiery exterior encompassing the orbiter.
