Hey everyone,
I've been a lurker here for a few years, but for a couple of years I've had the itch to improve my surround setup. I had about $350 socked away for a new receiver, but most people I talked to said it would be better spent on speakers. After looking around a few boards, I found this s606 Jamo set.
Most people said it was an incredible bargain, so I pulled the trigger. Unfortunately this leaves me without the receiver. I'm looking at a yamaha v667, but until i have the cash, all I have is a HT-z310T samsung.
I've been doing a ton of research over the last week about configurations(ohms, wattages, cabling), but it seems like there's a lot of art to this science, as there's not a ton of hard and fast rules.
The receiver initially came with 3 Ohm speakers and the Jamo's are 6 Ohm. Also, the receiver is rated at 166 RMS/channel and the Jamo Spekaers are only at around 100 RMS. I'll include links below as the forum won't let me add them.
Can I connect these speakers to this system without damaging the speakers
