3D Troubleshooting

I just recently purchased the Panasonic TC-P55ST30. I also bought the 22O BD player, and a set of 3D glasses from Sainsonic (SR-PA01).

I watched some 3D content last night, and while a little of it looked like it had depth,. very little "popped" out, and anything that was fast moving (such as things flying off the screen to the left and right) seemed very jittery.

The content was downloaded from VUDU.

What do you think the issue is? This is the first time I have used 3D.

TV settings?
BluRay settings?
Glasses not compatible?

I did not try a 3D BluRay as I do not yet have one.

I watched the first few minutes of almost every 3D movie they had, and most of the trailers. All in their HDX (1080p).

I picked up a few 3D BluRays from the library.

No better ... same thing. It's almost if the 3D images are blurry or something. Especially if there is motion involved.

Could it be the glasses?

UPDATE: I e-mailed SainSonic, and they said the glasses are indeed compatible with the TV, and it sounds like I have defective glasses.

I also order a pair of the XPAND 103s that will arrive today, so I will report back.

Can people describe to me what 3D is supposed to look like?

I've now had 3 people over this week to watch the TV, and all of us were very underwhelmed.

We were expecting things to be floating in the room and off the screen, and nothing we have seen even remotely is doing this.

Are my expectations wrong?
