Color wheel issue?

Hi guys,
I hope you can help me with this one.
I changed the bulb on a Planar 7060 but the picture is only black and white.
Even the menue is only dispayed in B+W. My best bet would be the color wheel. What puzzles me is that the glas is pysically fully intact. As this
color wheel has no white segment it must still be turning because white is created from the three primary colors.
So my guess is that there is not signal created by the hall sensor.
The magnet strip is at least 1mm away from the hall sensor, could this be
a potential problem?

I have taken it out and it is physically totally intact.
If it was not turning at all the image would have a
strong tint of the color segment that was in front
of the light tunnel.
I found out that the wheel has an optical sensor
which broke quite frequently on Mitsubishi RPTVs.
I think I will first try to clean the sensor and see if it will work.
It's possible that I got to much dust flying arount
when building a Lamp assembly as the projector came without
one.

Here is a littel board with the sensor on it.
If cleaning fails I hope I can purchase one and solder it in.

I got it working.
I cleaned the sensor and build a box around the lamp.
I am really thrilled because I bought the Planar on Ebay
for just 136 Euro without a Lamp assembly.
Building a custom Lamp assembly was easier than I expected
once I could find some nice guy at Osram who gave away the
working distance for the lamp.
This actually means that any projector can be custom fit to
the cheapest lamp and driver one can find.
Actually the driver for this lamp can be purchased at Optoma for
60 Dollar and the original OEM lamp for 65 Dollar at Amazon.

If any one wants more info I am willing to describe the process
of conversion.
