Windows Media Center 7 (WMC7) and ICC Color Profiles

Hello,

I want to see if anyone has used Windows 7 Media Center with a color calibrator like the spyder4 or pantone huey that generates a ICC color profile.

Does Windows 7 Media Center ignore the ICC color profile? I suspect if you go full screen with dxva playback, the ICC will be ignored?

I'm looking for a cost effective way in calibrating the colors on my tv and my HTPC.

I noticed datacolor has a Spyder3TV edition which has you manually adjust the color settings in the monitor menu. Also, some of the more expensive color calibration software has DDC support that will auto adjust the monitor, but i'm not sure if HDTV's have DDC support.

Thanks.

Yes windows media center ignores icc. the only player that supports icc that I know of is MPC-HC.

If you do want to pursue using WMC then the Upsilon Mixer (see my sig) should work with the spyder 4.
