Lamp for WD 60735

Two questions. Other than Mitsubishi, where can I get a lamp. Is Amazon a good place to purchase one? I've had this set for 3 years, lamp has given out and warranty expired last month.

I have not updated any firmware on this set since I've had it. Should I be dooing this?

Get the lamp from Mitsu. it is the same price as everyone else, if not cheaper.

It is actually cheaper going through Amazon. Prices range from $45 to $65. Mitsubishi sells them for $99. I'm just wondering if anyone here has had any success using one that didn't come directly from Mitsubishi

if it's cheaper, then its not the correct part or its used.

They are usually cheaper on Amazon because they are aftermarket lamps which are not as high quality as the OEM lamps or they are just lamps and do not include the lamp housing.

You are correct. These are after market.

Aside from Mitsubishi, is there anywhere that I can get the original lamp?

You just want the lamp, not lamp and housing????
There isn't any where cheaper for both using the quality lamp and housing.

If you get aftermarket, try to stay with philips lamps. Housing quality/fitment does vary, I had to mod one to fit and work inside a sony.
