To be honest Nezz, I like the look of them below better, but as discussed with Brett, its not optimum for performance. The only other thing that I saw this morning on the ED forum was pics that Alex has of the mains with slot ports in the middle and those look pretty sick.

Me likee!!!!!

Looks great! Can't wait to see pics of the real speakers in your room. It makes me jealous (regardless of whether or not I need a 2nd driver in each speaker...). It just looks BA.

I agree. It does look pretty sweet. One of the reasons I wanted the double 12 mains for myself. I am envious

If you go onto the ED forum and look at Alex's work pics, they are on the first page

Those were actually used for a few outdoor concerts. We did have two pair of them at one time, however a local bought one of the pairs for their son to use when DJ'ing their local HS events.

After looking at them more, so do I. I really like the slot ports, but maybe in a dedicated room. I think they look more "pro audio". The round ports, to me, will look better for my purposes on the front stage
post #75 of 123
yeah, the slot ports are cool looking, but kinda look unfinished in a way. The round ports look better IMHO.

Framing is underway!!!!!!! Finally...I will post pics of the room to be in the next day or so. I have to get them over to Brett as well, then we can see pics of the height speaker design too!

I just spoke to Alex, and all but the height speakers are in production! the heights are my fault, as the wall/ceiling layout isn't complete. Hopefully will have some real pics up here soon.

Well, I know its been a while, but I told the guys don't rush. My house isn't even finished yet. I did speak to them today and should have pics of the front three later on this afternoon!! The surrounds and heights will come next.

Thanks guys, I can't wait to see them once they are painted and have woofers/drivers installed. The guys at ED said they are huge in person.

Update...I just spoke with Brett, who took about an hour and a half to talk with me. They are done with cabinet assembly(aside from heights, which have been a nightmare due to mounting concerns). I should have some more pics here this afternoon.

Damn that render looks good.
