Best cheap media player that can display cover art?

I'm looking to replace the Seagate FAT+ in my kids room with something a little more user friendly that they could use themselves. A Boxee Box would probably be ideal, but as it's only a secondary streamer that isn't used as much, I want to keep it cheap. Are there any good low-priced streamers that have a decent UI or can be hacked to have a decent UI? Something with Netflix and/or Hulu Plus would be nice as well. Though I'm kinda thinking this box doesn't exist. Does an ATV with XBMC work with Netflix?

Hmm. The WDTV Live might be worth checking out at $100.

^ My recommendation, try both, boxee box and wdtv, you will figure out for yourself boxee box is worth a few extra pennies, especially if streaming local content is priority and hd audio is not that important... boxee will save you the extra money in time of futzing with the damn box.

I probably should have mentioned this, but I already use a Boxee in my main setup. And I am a big fan, since I don't have a fancy audio system anyhow.

The ATV with xbmc or Plex still runs Netflix. There's also the Roku2 with Plex on it that would have both Netflix and Hulu+. As has already been mentioned the WDTV Live S is nice. The problem you might have with the ATV is the uncertainty surrounding a jailbreak.

How does the Roku2 do with plex for streaming local content? Most of my kid's movies are ripped to ISO, MKV, and MP4 containers, with the majority in ISO.

Another option would be the Samsung Blu-Ray Player, Roku or LG ST600 using Plex.
