Hi,
I bought the Samsung UN40ES6580F in mid-April 2012 and I didn't see a calibration thread for it within AVS Forum. Give these settings a shot. I figure it's in the same series. I have minimal experience calibrating, so I'm FAR from being an expert. My prior experience is based on my other TV (Samsung LN46A750) four years ago and it's still kicking ass. So, to start it off I decided to use the same settings from my Samsung LN46A750, copied them to the new TV and work from there. I know, you're not supposed to mix them up, because it's a different TV set, but what the hell, I did it anyway.
Considering I don't have a meter or anything like that, I think it looks pretty good, but it could probably use some improvement. I'm still fiddling with it to get that extra "pop" and skin tones right. I'm hoping some more experienced calibrators with equipment can jump on this thread and share some settings (maybe in the correct thread). I tried creating one here (

NOTE: These settings were originally for firmware version 1009 (Original out-of-box). For firmware version 1012, I've highlighted in RED.
