Ipad Holder for Theater

Hi Everyone,

I am using an Ipad as my remote for the theatre. I have not found any good way of storing (or holding) the ipad. It is too big to leave on arm rest. If you leave it on the seat next to you, you cant see it and someone will sit on it. I looked into a cupholder attachment for Ipad, but havent touched one. Dont know if they are good quality and also how well they hold in cupholder. The other concern I have is can then adjust to make the Ipad sit flat. Dont really want it standing up and hindering view of the scree for back row or be obstrusive for anyone in front row.

If anyone has found a solution I would love to know it. If you have pics that would be great as well.

I'm personally a fan of the Luxa2 H4. It's what I am currently using in my theater and I just notched out the base of the stand so that it slides under the front lips of my cupholders to secure it down. Doesn't fold down, but I'm not sure there are any that do (it is fully articulating though). It's on sale right now through the Luxa2 online store.

Can you guys snap a shot (or a few if you can) of what it looks like on the chair and also how much it can be pushed out of the way.

I was also wondering did you drill holes in the base and permanently screw it to armrest, and if not how solid is it.

Thanks Peter, glad you enjoy them.

The Omnimount is sturdily built and fairly heavy. It rests on the center console between my main theater seats. I don't have it affixed to anything.
