$1000 - what should I do?

So I've got a Klipsch HD500 surround system running on a Yamaha RXV567 currently. I've got about 1K to spend on upgrades to the system. Right now I'm leaning toward some Paradigm Mon 9's to replace front L/R to have a truly awesome 2.1 for music, while keeping the surround for movies and video games. My question is if this is the best route to go, or if I should replace the center channel first and wait a few months to pull the trigger on the front L/R. I'm worried having tower L/R fronts will drown the small center channel that comes with the HD500 during movies and games.

Are there brands/models in this price range that I should be looking at other than Paradigm? Thanks for your help!

What you could do is buy the towers for now and disconnect your center and just run phantom center until you can afford to buy the matching center OR just buy the front 3 all together.

Again, when it comes to HT it's hard to beat PSB especially the Alpha series.

Need more info.

Towers- monitors?

What is your desired goal? Musical, loud, bass etc...?

Size restrictions, placement issues, aesthetics...?

Your room size? Listening area, layout...?

$1000 does that include a new sub?
