I was also told that the new process would produce more consistent results. But if you actually look at the products next to each other and with a microscope, you will see the old version look far more difficult to manufacture than the new version. up side be it small, of the new version, is it reduces the off axis dip with more white paint/emulsifier and a mix of bead sizes. So off axis you dip to 1 rather than the old .7/.8. Red shift is a little less as well (lots less beads). I am speaking of the standard not the HCHP. The HPHC has the same surface but a different under lament color
