True lies was fantastic.

That film was basically Ahnold's highest point. It's been all downhill since.

TRUE LIES was also Cameraon's last R rated film.

Isn't that essentially what the TV ads for every new Adam Sandler movie amount to?

I think watching bowel movements would be an improvement from Sandler films.

True Lies is the best. action. movie. ever. Better than The Fifth Element and Transformers (IMO). As far as this remake; I'll pass.

True Lies was great, in large parts because of Curtis, Arnold[Tom] and to some degree of Paxton. Ahnold's dancing moves with Tia Carrere OTOH was well.......

Regardless of the performance, CF was miscast.
The historical accounts describe Alexander as someone with a lot of charisma, something missing in CF (IMO).

I'll take a pass on this, it will result in the best 3D mind f%%k yet and I don't want TOTAL RECALL 1990 raped from my memory.

R rated = 18 in the UK and watered down violence isn't going to be much fun in the cinema. I'll bet it would get a BBFC 15 mark my words. Worse possible case a 12A.

The only movie I like CF is in Phonebooth.

Same here I didn't go to see that Fright Night-remake of the 80's cult classic I've avoided most films starring him, okay I have Phone Booth so shoot me. Mind you that wasn't too bad a film.

Oh, dear Our British Kate Beckinsale poor lass will be typecast with firearm in her hand how many other films since she traded in her Underworld, fangs ware she's used a firearm? Whiteout and I do have soft spot for her in that film, I was kinder hoping it was going to be THE THING but turned out to be greedy buggers doing each over for diamonds.I mean it didn't have Mr. Wint or Mr. Kidd in it.

OMG! Bill "Underworld" Nighy ...Kuato yep seems like team up some of the Underworld cast. Might as well call it TOTAL FANGED!

The rest of the credits appears to still be in post production. I don't see re-recoding mixers or even scoring mixer so might be finished in few weeks to a month or too.

You guys need to see CF in Fright Night...he is perfectly cast and gives a terrifically scary performance.

I just don't see the need for this. I'm getting a Rollerball vibe here -- I consider the original James Caan version one of the greatest sci-fi movies ever made, and which has never gotten the respect it deserves. Then they made a crummy, clumsy remake which diluted its "brand".

I feel the same way about this one. Ahnuld, a roasting-hot Sharon Stone, the three-breasted bar floozy, Ronny Cox & Michael Ironside at their most villain-ness, what's not to like? It should remain unsullied, unsequeled, and un-remade for all time.

I agree with you. That was my poor attempt to mock CF and Alexander the Great. What a horrible movie.

What the studio should do is re-release TOTAL RECALL (1990) back into cinemas for 8 week run in number 1 large screens in Dolby Digital Cinema in and in selected THX screens for that deep feeling Foley body crunching kicks! I’d pay to see it in THX.

Suffice to say, he is a pretty good actor.

I like the framing choice to go with scope 2.35:1 and the flares the quality looks shape.



But this is still, a classic sci-fi now.


Something else that has been on my, mind for a few days after seeing the Total Recall 2012 trailer is the green shirt! They not only stole his, mind they stole his, green shirt from Commando?

I knew of this coming out, but haven't been following it since hearing CF was in the lead role. Haven't seen the trailer, but I'm in shock that Mars has been replaced by 'the nation states Euromerica and New Shanghai' - according to IMDB.

I never realized the original was based on Phillip K Dick story, but after checking the wiki, even his story revolves around Mars. I can't even imagine watching this and hearing the names Quaid, Melinda, Kuato, and Cohaagen in an entirely different setting. So disappointing. Decent list of supporting actors too (eye candy!).

The Arnie flick comes across as a little cheesy today (mainly because the FX are dated).
I don't see a need for re-make, but whatever....

CF has the chops to make this work....and Ms. Biel and Ms. Kate are both always welcome to spend an evening with me in my HT (or anywhere else for that matter).
