I've read numerous people complaining and saying that their AVR has overheated or perhaps their HDMI board has failed. This picture says it all.

This receiver is a disaster waiting to happen. Onkyo specifically states on the manual to have at least 8 inches above and 3 inches on each side. He has maybe 2.5 inches of space above his receiver if that isn't enough he has BD player on top of the receiver. This is one of the reasons amp sections on newer AVRs have been downgraded compared to the older models.
I can see a new thread poping soon....My Onkyo receiver just blew up....
