Decent Projector for Occasional Use (Indoors and Outdoors)

Thread Starter
I am looking for a decent projector for occasional use on my backyard deck for day/night baseball games and some movies and TV. I know that day time will be almost non-visible but if it works a little that would be a plus. I do not want to spend too much on this but I want it to work, not looking for all the bells and whistles but HDMI is a plus so that I can run one cable from my cable set top box. Approx 450.00 budget I can expand some if it's going to be beneficial. I have been on Amazon and the two that stick out are EPSON EX5200 Multimedia Projector (V11H368120) and the ViewSonic PJD5133 SVGA DLP Projector.
Any and all thoughts and or comments are appreciated.

How important is daytime (or even dusk) viewing to you? If at all, that is your primary constraint... it will dictate not just how bright your projector needs to be, but, more importantly, will require rear projection. Even then, the screen will need to be shaded (i.e. no direct sunlight hitting the screen). I seriously doubt you can do even reasonable daytime viewing with that budget, so my advice would be to give up on that dream until your budget increases dramatically.

What is your source (is it HD)? What screen size are you hoping for? Do you already have a screen? If not, what is your budget for your screen? Do you already have a sound system/speakers or will the PJ require onboard speakers? Are you willing to buy used or refurbished? Are you sensitive to DLP rainbow effect? I know, more Q's than A's, but I think you'd be happier with the answers you get if everyone had more info about your needs.
