Ditto on Mono. That's where I buy all my cables for everything.

+1 for Monoprice. May not be the absolute cheapest, but for about 5 bucks a cable, they are GREAT quality and last a long time.

Monoprice

Yesterday, I was in a large Big Box electronics store whose initials are coincidentally, BB. As I was in the TV section, I heard a salesman tell a young female customer that she would also need an HDMI cable costing "about $78." As I walked past, I said, "Or you could get one on-line from monoprice.com and save $68." I didn't wait to hear what the salesman said after that.

Well you'd be an idiot to use 60Hz cables on a 120Hz TV

I'm still using the HDMI cable that came with my 10" DuMont.

All my cables, wiring, and certain other accessories come from monoprice as suggested by the others above and I've never been disappointed with their products, and certainly not their prices.

Like many others, monoprice is my one stop shop. I think I have more cords than a RadioShack now, and they're all monoprice.

I only use 60 Hz cables to plug into the wall socket

Anybody try making ones own HDMI cables using stuff like this: http://www.datacomtools.com/catalog/...dmi-cables.htm??

Or better yet, tie 2 60Hz cables together for 120 Hz. Good thing I don't have a 240Hz tv. That would get expensive!

How exacty does a 60Hz cable work with HDMI? Does the cable vibrate at 60Hz? Do you use a tuning fork to check the frequency?

Hint, hint for those reading this later on...There is no such thing as a 60Hz HDMI cable...

Was it a stereo HDMI cable? Some of the later DuMonts had a stereo phono.. My Dad's had a massive cabinet for the left channel which included the phono/tuner and this relatively tiny speaker for the right channel. My Mom hid the right channel under the Zenith TV console. Ah stereo the way it was meant to be - massive and muffled all at the same time.

We definitely used moderate speed stereo HDMI cables for our DuMont!

For the cost of the kit, you buy a dozen cables and probably save yourself the frustration.

I've also had good luck with some of the cheap cables on eBay and have bought the mono price ones as well for about the same price and all of them have worked well for cheap.
I always try to find the ones with the built in RF chokes and just make sure they have decent wire gauge and speed ratings.
I think Mono Price has a eBay store as a few other places I've dealt with do and sometimes the prices there are better then their official web sites so do some searching for the best deal.

I just bought a couple of 9ft HDMI cables from Amazon as part of their Amazon Basics offering. It was cheaper than monoprice when I factored in shipping (I have Prime)

Monoprice: 2 10ft HDMI cables at $5 each plus $7 shipping = $17.
Amazon: 2 10ft HDMI cables at $7.49 each plus $0 shipping = $15.

Amazon's cables are pretty good quality. I'm not sure how they compare to monoprice regular or premium cables.

Right now, the drawer of one of my end tables. I have three extra HDMI's sitting in there right now, which I got originally through monoprice. Hands down, there is no argument.

With amazon, it depends on the Vendor. Sometimes you can find better deals through amazon.com than the actual vendor website.

Just to agree with everyone else... I buy every video cable I need from monoprice. Normally are the cheapest, or close, but the quality of the manufacturing is excellent
