My usb ports on my Comcast DVR

How can I transfer a movie I recorded on my DVR to a portable harddrive so I can watch it on my computer. My DVR is a DCX3400-M. It has USB ports!!

As far as I know there is no way unless you know how to make that port active. They don't want you saving movies anywhere but in the box as you might make a meeeelione copies and spread them all over or sell them...
