Just had 3 straight games to end the night:
39-7 KC on Slums
32-12 KC on Hijacked
38-16 KC on Hijacked
I'm really hoping this run doesn't end!

Any time I switch to something else I barely go 1.00 in TDM.

Myrtledog, I am hating on you major right now with those kind of numbers.eek.gif

SO last night was not that great. Unlocked the FAL but think it will take some time to get used to. From reading the posts it is worth waiting and trudging through to select fire? Was in a party with a buddy playing and the games were terrible for me. He left and I had much better runs....please please don't let this be like MW3 and the party issue I had for most of the time I played the darn thing.

LOL, it won't last. But it sure is fun while it does! Since opening the select fire on the FAL, I have gone from 1.10 to 1.43 KD. Is it the gun, coincidence, finally learning the maps?

I play KC and TDM 90+% of the time.

Very nice! I unlocked select fire for the FAL a while ago and I find it just fires too slow for me. Anytime I get into a 1v1 with someone it seems like they're just shooting too fast for me to keep up.

I prefer the SWAT-556 with select fire personally, it has a faster fire rate but still maintains high accuracy and damage.

I played last night for the first time in a few days and was getting my ass kicked. I think I need to take some advice from Daekwan and stop sprinting so much. Hopefully this doesn't continue or I may have to go buy Battlefield or something. tongue.gif

Anyone have issues with the barracks last night? I went in to update my emblem and tried to "save and apply" to get back to the matchmaking screen, but it just wouldn't do anything. I could hit B to go back, but it just wouldn't let me out of that part of the barracks. It was time for the Falcons/Saints game, so I wasn't heartbroken, but I'm hoping it was just a glitch that isn't a major issue.

Prestiged last night and have no idea what I used my token on and now I don't have my dang FAL anymore. What's the best SMG to use. I have found that it helps to use an SMG with rapid fire to get past the lag issues I seem to have when both Xboxes are playing.

Sent in one of my old black controllers to SCUF.
$65 for the mods & labor, + $12.95 for return s&h.

I'm also looking at buying some parts from http://modsticks.com/ and modding another old controller.
His take on triggers, trigger stops and sticks look cool.

Every controller I've ever had eventually starts to have stick drift. I'd be curious if either of these options will fix that.

Nice! I'm pretty sure I'm going to order one from Scuf. I can still return my Halo 4 controller to BB so will do that and probably just order the infected zombie one... figure if I'm going to do it may as well match my GT theme.

I had the best match yet last night but not because I pulled any new skill out of my arse, I got a care package with a swarm in it after my first 5 kills. It gave me an additional 18 kills! Ended up 43-8 on Turbine using the Swat with select fire, silenced, with fast mag. I highly recommend this configuration for the Swat... probably the only thing that would give the FAL a run for its money.

After all the FAL talk I decided to give it a go for the first time in this game on this prestige and as much as I liked the SMR I think the FAL may edge it out. I was using the SMR with select fire last prestige and was getting 2 hit kills pretty regularly but I was not getting as many kills as I do with the FAL in the same configuration. I was curious how the two measured up and found a few videos on yourtube but thought this one gave some good info:

After all the FAL talk I finally unlocked select fire. Definitely a brutal killing machine! Enjoy it while it lasts...

Anyone have connection problems last night? I kept getting logged out of live but Internet connection appeared fine.

Warthog.

Simply my favorite killstreak of all time! Radio chatter and the roar of it strafing the enemy is outstanding!!

IRL Warthog.

Do those honestly make that big of a difference to justify spending $100+?

I have used modsticks only for awhile now. Once the controller starts getting old I can just a buy a new one and move over the modstick pieces. Cheaper in the long run. I use the sticks and triggers only as the trigger stops dont work to well with certain games.

I'm not sure why after being here so long I'm just hearing about them but the reviews seem almost unanimous. Poke around youtube and online and you'll see. The avs guys that use them seem to have pretty solid stats too. They have a high demand so I'm sure you could sell them at what you paid if they are not the bees knees.

I'm not sure how these mods will translate to performance in my hands but I know that the changes I've made in my rifle with respect to better trigger, extended bolt release, etc. have improved my performance in running drills. I'm hoping between the reviews and my logic this will be money well spent resulting in improved performance. If not I will tell you all they are crap, then buc and conman will tell me I just suck and lack skill, which will all be true tongue.gif

So the modstick sticks correct for drift in the sticks of old controllers?

Buc's controller explains everything...

He's playing chess, while the rest of us are playing checkers!

Too bad they didn't post a pic of the underside as well. There another 15 buttons you can't even see in that pic!

I don't even understand how you guys can play with stock controllers...

Something I never tested, I just buy a new controller and just bring over all my custom parts from the old controller.

Geez and I thought I was elite with my little snap on stick extensions. tongue.gif

If you're any good with a mouse/keyboard, you'd probably be better off spending that money on a XIM.
Why not just play on PC? Seems like a waste of the console benefits to go that route. I've never played a game with a mouse and keyboard so it would be starting all over and I'd lose the comfort of sitting on the sofa, that's a deal breaker.
