I agree with this completely. I'm certainly not trying to argue with anyone else's issues on here, because I'm certainly not an expert, have only been playing since MW2, and my KDR is usually just below 1; however, I notice that I'm doing much better with BLOPS 2 than in the others that I've played. In MW3 I pretty much just used SMGs and played really fast. In BLOPS 2, I notice that if I slow down just a bit and use an AR, that I do much better. Also, the lag has only seemed to be an issue with me when I have my search preferences set to anything but "Best". I tried League Play and Zombies just to get some achievements, and I had to set it to "Normal" just to get into a match. I found that I was losing probably 90% of 1-on-1 battles. At the time, I felt that I had never hated a game so much. Since I've gotten out of League Play and Zombies, I have my search preferences back to "Best", and I really feel like I'm doing much better and I feel like it's much more balanced. I have a decent/solid cable connection, so I don't know how much lag comp. is affecting me...but again, I don't claim to be an expert on the subject.
As for the other issues, I think I just got used to them. I wasn't crazy about the Pick 10 system or the Scorestreaks at first, but they're growing on me. The maps are okay so far, but I always forget that until more DLC is available, the maps are just so-so. Right now, I just don't like Plaza. Also, I really don't like what they did to Domination.
As for the realism...well...I had BF3 for another console, and I just couldn't get into it. I guess I just didn't have the patience for it...which is part of what I like about CoD...I can just get started and go.
