Yeah I think I pretty much got fed a load of crap then by someone. Good, because as much as I love the new maps, and I do think they are great, it gets a little old having to play them and them only. Glad that Treyarch integrated them into the Core playlist.

Random thoughts:

Yes, there are bad players in every mode. They are just much more annoying in HC, even if playing KC. Regardless, it's a personal preference thing.

I like most of the new maps. Really enjoy downhill. I like Grind as well. Not a fan of Hydro yet - perhaps it will grow on me. Same goes for Mirage.

After playing them for a while yesterday I think Hydro is the only one I don't care for. I'm pretty damn sick of these challenges, don't think I will work on any other gun camo after this.

Hydro is terrible...just terrible. The rest are quite enjoyable, though.

I haven't quite figured out downhill yet. It seems almost impossible to defend B despite the fact that its wide open....there are few good lines of sight, and the ones there are leave you wide open behind you. One side has a ton of cover and entrances (the lift station), but its completely blocked off from B. The other side is like one long meandering tunnel where you have zero overwatch and you just end up behind C. There's hardly even a good barrel to get behind, you need to be wide open to cap B, and wide open to defend it.

I really dig that side area between A and C on mirage with the bus and overturned car....really great gunfights in cover on both sides. The inside of the temple is just crazy, B is way down in the ditch, there's good emplacements on both sides....it's just a solid map with a lot of good verticality.

Grind is way more complex than I originally though, but I like the way the odd architecture breaks everything up. Especially on the skate park side there's a lot of good back and forth. I still have no idea how its possible to defend that half pipe on the other side though, its a hardpoint and literally all someone has to do is chuck a nade into the bowl and you're dead.

I'm still figuring out hydro. I like the idea of the B flag having the little barrier where you can cap it from right behind it, completely in cover from the other side - its the same thing aftermath has. Except its further away and higher, so it forces people to get out in the middle to defend it instead of just watching it from afar. The little gully off to the side where you can ford the river is another hotspot where both sides can dig in....I'm just not sure how to play the rest of the map.

I either play by myself or a trio of a team of solid to great players minimum. Otherwise you might as well jump into a Chalupatron gang bang and go 11-23 because this lag is too much to overcome and a waste of vocal swear effort.

Only like the snow map so far with minimal playing time.

Jitu, while I agree that it is mostly lag free when you're playing solo. I'll add this, when you group up it seems location is what dictates the lag more than anything. As I've stated before, there are certain people that if I play with it will lag almost every time. But others that I party up with quite a bit and we don't have any issues, or very minimal at all.

That's a bit generous but ok. Standoff is easily my favorite from Blops 2 but there is a lot of competition for "best COD map. As much as many of the maps in MW3 kinda blew Gulch was awesome. Nuketown, Firing Range, Trailer Park, Zoo, Favela, Sub Base, Terminal, Broadcast, Crossfire... there is a lot of competition for that title IMO.
Seriously, even playing HC last night I still had enemy players turn around and shoot me dead after getting hit markers on their backside... betwen this and the revenge spawns the game can be unplayable at times. I'm really just lost on the logic behind this and am convinced it is by design. COD4 and MW2 and even Blops (post hit detection patch) were nothing like this with respect to lag comp and revenge spawning.
Last night I was with a few other guys from NorCal, only hours away and still the lag was just horrendous.

I will say that unlike most other cods, there's no map I truly despise. I'm not the biggest aftermath fan, but its no downturn, carbon, cracked or derail. I've got favorites, but none make me want to leave the lobby. I've even made peace with hijacked.

If I could spend a permanent unlock token so that Drone NEVER came up it would be well worth it. I rate that one right up with the others on the "worst of" list.

If you are a run and gun guy its hard to belive that you wouldnt like hydro. Its a nightmare for snipers and campers but for run and gun the map plays really really well lots of places to conceal yourself while you run across the map.

It was horrible last night. Even playing solo was bad. I usually play for hours on a new maps night but last night I felt like I was pushing myself to play. Not enjoyable at all.
Amen to that. That map is so bad I just say f it and start snipping and you know how much I like snipping ;-)

Hydro is a pretty good map. 3 lanes, 2 levels, plays pretty fast paced. I like it better than the skatepark map for sure.

Hijacked is ok, like BD, I have made peace with it, but any map that allows people to spawn behind me, and shoot me in the back, when I am capping a point, is never going to be one I will love.

My favorite maps from the previous post CoD 3 games are:

CoD 4 - Crash, Bloc, Bog, Vacant
World at War - Either Downfall or Makin
MW2 - Afghan, Terminal, Wasteland, Rundown (this game had the best maps of any CoD to date in my opinion)
Blops - Jungle, Summit, Cracked, Discovery
MW3 - Bakaara, Arkaden, Dome, Village
BLOPS II - Yemen, Standoff, Raid, Grind, Mirage

Agreed. It is terrible, Kowloon and Liberation terrible as far as I am concerned.

I like 'em both, but Hydro is going to be a polarizing map, and I can see why. Lots of cover, lots of "shot in the back moments", and lots of "where did he come from" deaths. Personally, I like it and I think its size, and Mirage's, are what they need more of in the game.

I did have a lot of those "moments" last night. Not necessarily the maps fault, it's the TERRIBLE SPAWNS fault.
Mirage is awesome, great flow, size, and color palette.

Cable or DSL? Post all equipment (make and Model) in the chain (carrier, cable modem/DSL modem, router, etc) from entry into your place to the XBOX. If putting your XBox into the DMZ results in a moderate NAT then something else is going on!

Yeah it's definitely my least favorite map, maybe tied with turbine. But I'll still play it, the gunfights inside the factory are pretty fun.

Is it possible for you to take the switch out of the chain to see if the same thing happens? You have to set your 360 to a static IP also. I'm assuming you've done this, but just sayin'.

When I let the router do its own thing I always get a Moderate NAT. uPnP on or off makes no difference. The only way I can get it to be open consistently is to turn uPnP off and do port forwarding for the 4 ports the game requires.

I've done it all. I don't think it's on my side of the connection. Anyone know how to tracert or find what QAM my connection is using and what is considered acceptable? Or signal loss?

Twitch.TV now available in-game to stream Black Ops 2 games.

Pretty easy to set up. Just sign up for an account on Twitch.tv and then when you go into Black Ops 2 MP, hit "Live Stream", choose Twitch and it will ask for your Twitch log in and password. It will then give you your streaming URL. With Twitch I am assuming it will always be the same URL. I don't know if streaming your games could cause lag? If so, then there's no way I would bother with it.

Black Ops 2 players get a new broadcasting option.

If you're a regular viewer of gaming streams on Twitch.tv, you probably already know that Black Ops 2 is one of the more popular titles on the site. Starting today, that number is likely to skyrocket thanks to an expanded in-game casting feature that now supports Twitch.tv. Users can broadcast Black Ops 2 gameplay straight from their Xbox 360, without having to fiddle with HD capture software and other less user-friendly means of streaming. PS3 and PC users will see the feature added a bit later, while Wii U has been completely left out of the conversation.

Aside from just the live gameplay, Xbox 360 users can use their Kinect as a webcam to add a face and commentary to the broadcast. To utilize the new streaming feature, you'll need to set up a Twitch account and then sync it with the game using the menus in multiplayer.

Prior to the new addition of Twitch, Black Ops 2 limited its in-game streaming option to just YouTube. Twitch, by comparison, is a much more popular destination for live gameplay, so the expanded compatibility is certainly a good move both for viewers and broadcasters alike.

When you are playing HC KC and you get MULTIPLE hit markers on a guy, but still get hammered, you know something is up.

I also agree when I host a party we are usually lagfested to the hilt. It is weird because the game really does usually assign me host.
If I play with Zombie (hosting) or Lizard (hosting) there are little to no issues. Don't you guys live in like CA?

When I play with the guys from Colorado we lag it up. I'm in Nebraska. Is it not distance? WTF is happening?

I'm also playing on a 120" screen and projector. I'm *starting* to think you guys aren't full of ****. I may buy a 50" plasma soon and mount it on the side wall to play on and see if there is less delay.

But when you go from having 30-5, 20-9, 12-12 games to 6-35 (chalupatron bastard team punishment, ok, ok), 6-20, 12-22, you are either on a total **** team or you are experiencing this horrible lag comp.

I'm in agreement that it is purposely designed this way, just like the TOTAL CRAP mobility they give snipers vs LMG (video sold me).

And yes I just bought season pass then spent the next hour swearing.

This is probably the most I've kept playing a title yet. What a business model (in all seriousness). I wish I was Craptavisions CEO.

Same problem here,in the past 2-3 weeks I've been getting crushed. My k/d has dropped 10 points and I keep getting a lot of lag and stuttering. Worst of all I was put on probation for quitting games early because connection was so bad.
