It actually looks like your point of aim/point of impact is consistently behind the target. I dono if it's lag or an unreasonably large hit box but something is off there... glad you are on my team wink.gif

3 more Bloodthirsty with the Chimco SMG and I will have Diamond on all of them. Wow, that SMG sucks. So hard to get headshots with it, I thought I would never get my diamond. Now just need a few more bloodthirsty with it. Can't wait to be able to stop using it.

Was that today? I had to rage quit yet again due to the horrible team matching and amazing lag abilities. I got my first hit marker with the last sniper +FMJ on HCKC. That was when I knew I should just shut it down until you guys were all on.

Seems like everybody is lately. I haven't played this weekend but all last week at least half of every match was people with the Peacekeeper.

Yeah, it was actually the match after the one we were in and I shut down after. Obviously I was on the winning side of the lag. I was running and gunning but most of the kills came from 3 stealth choppers, 2 drangonfires, and a vtol warship. I might be on later after the bowl if I'm sober enough.

Three times now I've had my peacekeeper disappear midgame, leaving me with a ballistic knife and crossbow. After that happens I can select any class I've created that has the peacekeeper in it and I have no gun. This so far has happened when I'm in a party with someone who didn't buy the maps, playing the old maps. It's not very cool loosing a gun I actually paid for midgame. Way to go Treyarch!mad.gif

I think I know what he is talking about but for me I have noticed this in all CoD. There are times no matter how mauch I move my stick, the crosshair just doesn't want to move to that direction while I am firing.

Within that distance where aim assist will "lock-on" to the general direction of an enemy, that can sometimes swing your sights in a direction that you werent expecting, causing your aim to be off from where you think it should be when you moved the stick. It happens all the time to me in CQB. The only way they avoid this is make it so that you literally lock on dead center on anything you sight in on (like single player), making the game noob-tastic and pointless. Or they get rid of that part of aim assist, and it just gets way harder to play and generally just a shitter experience. Or they leave it the way it is, which almost nobody has ever bitched about but this guy. Its like some people cant accept the fact that they cant go 30-0 in every game, every death is something else's fault.

Almost have a gold shield need 11 more shield kills with no weapons or lethals equiped and ill have it. What a grind my KD dropped alot im sure haha.

Maybe I have experienced it but didn't realize it, but if this is a "problem" it is one that has never given me much of an issue. I will say this, I wish they would completely remove ANY AND ALL, aim benefit received from the game engine. I think that is partly why people are able to quickscope, so if they did this, it's possible we see the end of that (yippee!).

I'm pretty sure you can turn it off for yourself in the options. Try it out and come back and let us know if you still feel the same way. tongue.gif

Aim assist is an essential part of the console FPS experience.

Oh, no way I would just shun it and be left not using it, with everyone else using it. In my opinion, it's only essential because it's what we've been given. Breaking the cycle and taking it out for everyone, might be something they should look at if people find exploits or problems related to it.

I'm not saying shun it and enjoy the beating, I'm saying try it and find out for yourself how incredibly difficult it is to aim without it, especially at higher sensitivities. It's not a noob crutch, its part of what makes the game playable and fun. No serious FPS console game goes without it, especially one that requires quick precision. There has been a few that I can recall that don't have it in any form (MoH airborne), they're generally frustrating and terrible games.

What you're saying makes sense on a theoretical level for sure. But if the game played fine without it, there'd be no need for it in the first place.

Extensively. As does battlefield and gears of war. It's much harder to find a game that doesn't than one that does.

I have tried to play without it and like some have said the game becomes far more difficult. I have also had times where I have been aimed at someone standing in a window and ready to fire on them and all of a sudden another enemy runs past (in front or behind) and my sights will move off of my original target to the moving target.

I have a question, in HC/KC why is it far more easy to kill a teamate than the enemy? A single bullet with torch your partner but I have gotten hit markers on the other team and it doesn't kill them. WHAT'S UP WITH THAT?

Probably damage drop off due to distance.

Ha-ha, being serious for a minute I've been in games where I could put 2-4 bullets in a teammate and they'd be fine, but in those other instances it literally was one-and-done like you state above. If I had to guess I'd say whichever side of the lag you fall on probably makes a difference, as well as the placement of your fire in the HUD.

I guess that makes a little sense. But then again there are so many things in this game that don't make any sense at all. Like, why in the heck are the spawns still so jacked up. I don't get it.

Couple questions.

1. I am really enjoying the crossbow, it is different and adds something new to the game. Any suggestions on being more accurate with it? Any attachment you found better then the others? And perks help with this more then others?

2. Since I was tired of getting owned by the shotguns in this game, I decided to join them and start using them since I almost exclusively play objective games. Anyone have a build that they found works best with shotguns? Attachments that are the best, and perks that help the most? Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.
