Nuketown should now move into the regular playlists. We probably will now be playing that and Hijacked every other game.
Yeah, it just doesn't bode well for the future. Things that used to be free are going to slowly become paid. Remember how MW2/3 had those flag playercards? Now they're paid. They're already selling custom class slots, they'll continue to push it further and further. Next will come shortcut packs, attachments, guns etc - even if you can still unlock it by playing, they'll begin to stretch out the length of time it takes to unlock it. This is already the case with BF3 - I think I've played for 50 hours, but still haven't unlocked everything....but I could always buy my way through. I'm surprised they're not selling prestige tokens so you can perma-unlock stuff.
You're going to get nickled and dimed for every little thing. They'll do it gradually so people will always say "thats not so bad", but the bar will lower over time. Things that used to get put in a game because they were fun, will be warped into a form that makes them a few bucks here and there. Features that cant be monetized will lose priority to those that can. This sh*t doesn't belong in a full priced game.
This is officially the moment CoD jumped the shark, mark my words, it only gets worse from here.
