Yeah, I like them all. "Apocalypse" is a great final DLC.
Treyarch still has the superior maps to IW/etc...from the art to the design they are more interesting and play better IMHO.
I'm guessing most of you will hate "Dig" the most because it's small, it's all corners and has tons of head glitches.
I've played it at least 20 times now in all different game modes and never had the same game twice.
I hate predictability in maps.
People camping the same corner/building, etc...no matter the mode gets old.
"Dig" has got a killer flow to it though and no one weapon is perfect for it.
Quickscopers are especially at a disadvantage so you don't see many.
"Frost" might look like a ripoff of "Berlin Wall" but it's not.
Yeah, it's urban and Eastern Bloc looking but it's got a totally different flow, levels, etc...plus no crazy DMZ with turrets.
As with all Treyarch maps you have to keep your head on a swivel because you can usually get hit from 2-3 angles no matter where you are on the map.
Personally I like to work under the bridge during Dom and Demo matches.
It gives me access to all the major routes to either side of the map.
That said I can never hold it for long.
That's another thing I like about Treyarch's DLC maps: it's hard to camp one spot for a whole match. Someone will always find away to kill you.
The maps that came wth the original release had some wicked camp spots, ie; the upstairs office on Hijacked, the 2nd story control room on Express, laundry on Raid, multiple spots on Yemen and Standoff.
The DLC maps haven't been as bad.
IMHO Treyarch likes to lull us into a certain sense of security with maps and then yank it away in the next set of maps.
I like that. Keeps things interesting and forces you to stay on your toes.
"Pod" is a PITA. It's the map everyone is complaining about the most because it's unpredictable whether you play Dom, S&D, Demo, etc...ya gotta watch your back.
Such a great mix of scenarios in one map.
"Takeoff" is the Black Ops DLC map "Stadium" reskinned.
Looks great, and plays great like the original.
I wish they would have brought back "Hazard" or "Drive In" but that's quibbling.
BTW - Plus the new Zombz adventure "Origins" is the best they've made in a loooong time. If you haven't played MP Zombies mode you are missing out. It's a lot of fun. Plus you can jump into a party of random and usually find, unlike normal MP, very motivated teammates who
want to succeed and work together.
