Comcast Motorola dvr IR repeater???

Ok so I just got my order from Monoprice for everything going into the theater. I went with the Monoprice wireless IR repeater listed here

I have been reading that this IR repeater might have some problems working with my Comcast motorola DCT3412 DVR. Anyone using this repeater with a comcast motorola box? Should I return this and buy a wired IR repeater while the walls are still open? If so what do you guys recommend?

I have never tried the wireless repeaters. I prefer a wired connection for reliability.

I use this repeater from Sewell with a Samsung cable box. The price went up a little since I bought it though. I think that I got it for about $35.
