My Onkyo 809 and Audyssey Problem

When using Audyssey to calibrate my speakers it gets stuck on Calculating. I'm up to date on my firmware but it appears this started after I upgraded. Anyone else seen this problem? What's the cause of it?

As the title states I'm using an Onkyo 809 with the most up to date firmware which BTW I believe is what messed this up to begin with. It was working fine before the update.

Onkyo is telling me to take it to the service center. All they were able to help me with is to reset the AV which of course then erased the Audyssey setup I had so now I have nothing!

Problem fixed. I had to unplug the receiver all together and then plug it back in and then it worked. So I guess killing power completely helps as well.

I got a new 809 on this week and I updated the firmware to the latest version i'm having the same issue where the Audessey setup is stuck at calculating. Based on your post I tried unplugging the receiver from the power socket multiple times but it did not help.

Exchange it. Since you just got it and it appears to not be functioning correctly exchange it now before any other surprises pop up.

I was able to fix this issue. I did a factory reset by holding the VCR & Standby buttons together. I then unplugged the power chord from the receiver and plugged back in. Ran Audessey setup it worked without any trouble.

I am having the same issue with an Onkyo 709 with the latest Firmware. When I try to ran Audyssey it gets stuck at "now measuring left".
So should I try a factory reset?
