I had that same issue.....I reset TV to factory settings and it hasn't done it ever since. I hope LG sends a firmware update to solve this issue. I hope this helps

Try reading further back. I think a recent firmware update has enabled trumotion on all LM6200 series TV's BESIDES the 65LM6200. The 65LM6200 has always had it enabled from the factory.

I haven't been home the last 4 days, unless we got the update within that time, the sub 65" lms have NOT received the trumotion update.

Just got the 65LM6200, Yeah!!! I won't be able to really play with it till tonight, but so far, I can say I hate this Magic remote. Clicking through stuff, instead of just pressing a button drives me nuts. I tried using the LG remote app, but LG hasn't updated their Android app to support the 2012 models yet.

It's looking like I'll need to purchase a regular remote. Anyone know if last years remote will work with the LM6200 series TVs or should I just purchase a Harmony or the likes?

I use a Logitech Harmony 880 but you could pickup a cheap universal remote or the actual remote from last year's model. I have both the LM6200 and LW6500 remotes programming into my Harmony and either one works equally well. I agree. Not a fan of the single remote decision they made with the 2012 models. I would have preferred the LW6500 setup where they bundle a standard and magic remote. That being said, this year's magic remote does have a couple extra buttons, including 3d, and has a built-in microphone for voice recognition down the road. That will be AWESOME!

Help... I just hooked up my 55" LM6200 and it's giving me problems with the wireless connection to my network... It's not connecting...

Anybody please? I'm about to return this tv... this is so frustrating.

Hard to tell without any details. Is your network security password protected? Did you enter appropriate passwords to enable the TV to access? Is it not finding the network altogether? Did you call LG or your retailer for support?

I also had problems with wireless network. In my case problem was with entering password. I have secured network with password being a long sentence. When I was putting space it showed ** instead of * and after I finished my password had only 2 or 3 * instead of many more. When I pressed enter I had error. I was able to go around it by putting password without any spaces. Number of * were matching number of letters. After that I had to edit password by putting space between * where they should go. Thanks god that worked and I was able to connect into my network.

I had that problem with firmware that I had installed in TV after delivery. First thing after connecting I updated firmware. I dont know if that problem still exist with new firmware.

Thanks guys.. Yea my network is password protected, consisting of 12 characters, one of which is upper-case and two numbers... No spaces or special characters.

I'm not sure it was a password issue as I temporarily opened up my network (removed password) but it still wouldn't connect. The signal was strong too as it was on the top of the AP list.

Yes, there is minor flashlighting but only noticeable in a completely dark room and even then its slight. I think it's a by-product of edge-lit LED displays. I notice the flashlighting effect changes or goes away when you change your horizontal viewing angle. If you read thru the LW6500 thread, there are several posts about how to minimize and/or eliminate flashlighting, clouding and uniformity issues. Wall mounting has been known to help or eliminate those issues. So has loosening the bezel screws slightly and using a microfiber cloth to "massage" the screen and smooth out the display. Hope this helps...

Can you give me the model number for last years remote for the LM6500? I've been looking for it to purchase and I can't seem to fine the correct remote. I can't find a remote with the 3D button, on US website. I did find a couple LG remotes with the 3D button, but they are on ebay UK. I'd like to make sure I get the correct remote.

I don't know the model for that remote but what you should probably do is go over to the LW6500 dedicated thread and post your request there. One of the LW6500 owners should be able to supply you with the model # of the remote. Have a good one!

I just got the 42" set. I am pretty impressed with the set overall. PQ for Bluray and 3D is superb. I did notice that PQ with regular TV programming (I have Dish Network) isn't as good as my previous CRT HDTV though. Yes.....I was using a classic Sony CRT HDTV prior! LOL! But, for LCD/LED, it's pretty good because I know its deficiencies compared to CRT HDTV's.

I haven't noticed any backlighting issues either. But, I think I'm not a stickler when it comes to that.

By the way, I got the set for free via my airline miles reward program!

Thanks, but I was able to find the actual standard remote model # for my 65LM6200. It took a while because LG kept giving me the Magic Remote model number, but eventually, I found someone at LG that was able to get me the correct one.

I was leery about what I got from LG, but after some more research, I was able to confirm on Sears Parts' website. Sears Parts has a parts diagram on their website and they had the standard remote shown as an optional remote.

I went ahead and order it, so in a week or so, I'll be able to confirm. If anyone else is interested, the part # I got was AKB73615313.

Anyone care to post settings for the 65 that they think produces a great picture?

is this the only 65" in the new 2012 LM lineup?
has anyone been able to do side by side comparison of the IQ to 7600 or 8600?

Unfortunately, it is. There are 60" versions in other families, but not 65". LG also indicated in an email to me that the 72" 9500 would not be coming to North America this year. If you want a large passive 3D set its either the 6200/6500 or Vizio. Maybe the 84" 4k will debut and be a delight.

Hi everybody! Can anyone provide comment on shadowing / artifacts around edges of objects? Seems rather pronounced on my set. Turning sharpness down to 0 helps a bit but still not as good as expected (have a Panasonic V10 as well) Would also like to hear people's thoughts on 3d settings, do we just use our preferred setting on 2d and turn up the backlight?

I just got the remote (AKB73615313) from Sears Parts, for $13 + shipping, and it's the correct one. I'd post a pic for you, but I don't have any server space or subscribe to a service to upload the picture to. But rest assured, it is the correct one with the 3D button.

You can always try a website like imgur.com to host pics -- no accounts necessary.

Anyway, I may have missed it, but does this remote give you access to other things that the magic remote does not? What's the purpose of getting a remote like this?

Well LG Australia seem to know nothing about the true motion function issue, my set certainly doesn't have the function enabled. Will post back if I get any update from them with regards to a fix (not very hopeful)

LG Australia have their technicians looking into it. They didn't have a lm6200 to test on hand but did confirm that their lm6700 did have the function enabled. Any other Aussies with one of these sets that can confirm? The footy looks like ass on this tv and I want the trumotion function to try and smooth it out. Would the suspected update be county specific?

anyone find a place that sells these dual play glasses? I'm not sure my arts and crafts skills are high enough to attempt to break two glasses to do a lens swap.
