Cabinet cooling (intake/exhaust)

Hey guys..

I'm going to add a few fans for my cabinet so I can close the door while playing movies and games.

I've read quite a few threads, but can't seem to find any conclusive - hence this thread.

My cabinet is as follows:

The red circles is where I'm going to place the 120mm fans - I'm thinking undervolted Yate Loons.

In the top I have cable modem, wireless router, wd tv live, wd my live book (simple nas) and dvr.

In the bottom I have my PS3 Slim.

Which option would you prefer?

Option A: Intake in the bottom, exhaust in the top.

Option B: Exhaust in both bottom and top.

The shelve between top and bottom does not go all the way to the back.
The cabinet door does not completely seal tight.
Theres a couple of inches of air between the back of the cabinet and the wall.

If I missed anything just say so and I will add.

Thanks..

Natural convection would use Option 'A'; intake at the bottom and exhaust at the top.

You can always cool it how equipment racks are done for computer equipment. Pull air through the bottom, then exhaust into ductwork to vent it out of the home. The only drawback is the noise that the fans and air movement will make.

Could you make do with 2 exhausts? 1 in each compartment?

You could, and should do it that way. You will have to have it, so air is pulled up across the front and through the back, along with having some kind of sensor that you can read the temp of the equipment in the rack.
