LG LW9800 or LM8600

Was waiting for the LM9600 to come out but noticed that product number isn't on there site. It looks like there two flagship 3D tvs are now the Lw9800 and LM8600.

The LW is the full nano LED THX certified display and the LM seems to just be edge Lit LED? Is this correct? The LM has the new display design with the super thin bezel which is super nice. Has any compared these TVs in action?

LM9600 is their flagship model and full array. Coming soon. Check the LCD forum for more info.

I think they changed the model number. If you check there website the Lw9800 is the full nano LED display.

No, the LW9800 has been on their site for a while..that's why there's 5 reviews already. If you look, it doesn't even have the new borderless design.

That's a link to the LM 9600. This is the full nano display I'm talking about http://www.lg.com/us/tvs/lg-55LW9800-led-tv. So that one is older and there is a newer one that's not on there site yet with a thinner bezel?

The LW9800 is the old one, that's why there are 5 reviews. The LM9600 is the new one coming out with the thinner bezel. Comprende.

Hi Guys!!!!!!!!!!!!! Need your suggestions...

I was almost finalized to Purchase LG L8600. However now I am thinking to go for LM9600. Which one is the best choice. I know the price is major difference, which i do not care much.

I am lil confused when I read CNET review for LM9600. IS that some thing which can be ignored??? Pls give your suggestions.....

I've just ordered the 55LM8600 online from Vanns for $1289 (brand new in factory sealed box). Then on my way home from work, I stopped into Sam's and was surprised to find they are selling the 55LM9600 there for $1448. That is an incredible price!

Now I'm wondering if I should cancel my online order and buy the 55LM9600 from Sam's. The advantage of buying from Sam's is I have 90 days to return if I don't like it. They have at least 10 of them on the floor. This was in the Lone Tree store in Colorado.

Does anyone here recommend I should upgrade to the LM9600 for the extra $150 to get the Nano LED TV and the 480hz??? I think those are the 2 major differences between the 8600 and 9600.

I'd pay the extra $150 for the LM9600. You also get the bonus to watch it today and have an easy return if the panel doesn't meet your expectations. smile.gif
