Depends on where its purchased from though. Sears honors the mfg. warranty no matter what. Also, i always question, how do they (mfg.) know someone else owned that product? There could be a million reasons why it was purchased at a discounted price other than being preowned and plus, ive never seen a tv get its serial number scanned at time of purchase. Only if the unit was registered by the original purchaser w/ serial number, which no one ever does, or if the product was serviced at the customers home would the serial number be tracked in that customers name.
