Anybody planning on getting this. I am def thinking about pre'ing it since BF3 got old pretty quick.

I'm going to wait and see what people say about it.

At the very least, Frostbite 2 means that it should impress on the audio/video side of things.
I will wait for $4.99, it looks interesting tho

For the $7 entry fee I paid for the last MoH, I really enjoyed the game. Love the sound and weapons effects in this series.

The medal of honor reboot of 2010 was utter garbage to me, at least for online play. I'm skeptical about this one big time.

I wish they would just remake Medal of Honor Allied Assault because that was some of the best multiplayer ever. Fond memories in the early 2000s playing that game online.

I enjoyed the last MoH:Afgan, both SP (tho short) and MP. The only prob with the MP was the maps where too small. Filled in for MP with BF:BC until BF:3 came out.

I do wish the game to have a lengthy single-player campaign that does away with trite storylines. Some developers are much too concerned with putting us in the middle of a dramatic movie rather than a fun game.

Enjoyed the last MOH single player part, but I agree the multi player was not so good.

BF3 was my first game in the series, before that I was playing CoD but it seems like CoD pc days are gone.

I have about 200 hours played in BF3 so I feel like I got my moneys worth out of it. I think I may be not be playing it the "right" way though, I'm only playing deathmatch, not really interested at all in the modes with the vehicles.

This MoH game looks like it will be more my type of gameplay. Also BF3 has a new expansion pack coming out in May or June that will add 4 deathmatch maps, I'll definitely be picking that up.

Luv the Dueck Defense RTS Sight angle view. Those are the iron sites on the right side mounted at 45* angle. This looks like a console ver vid. Cool they even modeled the Mechanix Wear gloves on the spotter.

ADD: If anybody is interested, the rifle being used looks like a HK-416 and not a M4. You can tell by the area around the charging handle on the upper gun receiver which is diff between the 416 and the M4. BTW the marines in BF3 wear Oakley gloves while the spec op guy in the vid wore Mechanix. Details, details, details...look promising...I know I am getting to be a gear HO....wink.gif

Interesting e-mail from Origin

"Your membership in Battlefield 3 Premium just qualified you for 50% off your existing pre-order of Medal of Honor Warfighter. Best of all, you don’t need to do anything to claim it—we’ll credit the savings back to your account just as soon as the game ships!

Please note that because your order was placed before this offer was available, you will initially be charged full price for your copy of Medal of Honor Warfighter. The discount will be credited to your account as a refund two to three days later.

Thanks again for your order, and good luck out there, soldier.

Sincerely,

The Origin Team"

Not sure but I think if you are Prem BF3 member then the offer is still there if you pre before the ship date. But you have to be a Prem BF3 member and that cost money. I just hope this discount doesn't mean that they they think the game sux's.wink.gif

Well summer is over here and I didn't get many airsoft games in (bad back). I am glad this game is coming out and I do hope that it doesn't sux. Need something to keep me busy and not buy airsoft stuff (up to 13 rifles and 5 pistols and ton of gear)

Man it's a system hog. Real GPU intensive. The UI is another PITA console type. I just been playing the SP game. Not getting a smooth picture even tho I am getting over 80fps at 1920x1200 (at 2560x1600 fps drops to -20) with most settings at ultra except AMBI and blur off and set to 2x AA. I think it's another case of AMD drivers, just not butter smooth image even with high frame rates.

Tinker,

Are you running the latest AMD 12.10?

* Hearing really good things about 12.11 beta with the 7970.

What card(s)?

I am running a single, slightly oc'd, 6970 and will just wait until they tweak it if this is indeed an AMD issue. frown.gif

Thanks,
Jason

3x5870s. The AMD app auto updated the drivers. Its not a frame rate issue, the garphics just isn't as smooth as I get in BF3 (MP and SP). I don't think I will like the MP since it's arena style game play. TOO much CoD like and no destructible environments in MP. Maybe Bad Company 3 will be the game. I just hope I get the 50% discount for this game. I am just going to play the SP.

Well so much for SP. The game hangs after the "Hot Pursuit". The screen goes black and total lock up. Repaired MoH:W and same outcome. Next un-install and re-install.mad.gifmad.gifmad.gifrolleyes.gif

Definitely holding off...

I picked it up since I had the 50% deal with the BF3 premium. I'm not expecting much out of the game other then the SP part of it. MP I'll check out, but busy with Borderlands 2, Guild Wars 2 for now.

Resolve the black screen. I just have to run thru battlelog instead (?) of desktop icon and in windowed mode and not full screen. It seems when the system switches from cut screen the game looses sync with the res of the game setting vs that of the desktop. So far the SP is pretty scripted. Very predictable AI actions. At least the environment in SP is semi destructible. HARD mode is pretty hard...wink.gif
post #22 of 23
The Hot Pursuit level definitely does some weird resolution switching thing and there was a lot of screen switching and windows popping up but there was no complete hang on my system, even starting from the desktop shortcut. I've got an HD7950 and I'm on the 12.11 Beta4 drivers. I actually thought that level was pretty cool for an FPS.

I hate the driving stages...if I want to race cars I will get in my sim racing rig. It's about the worst thing in the game. The rest is a lot of fun. I just wish they with get rid of the cliche cut scene that seems the norm for all this type of games. I don't want to say what it is (you know when it happens), don't want to spoil it for those playing it.
