Best Speakers for tower for lows on budget

I'm new here (obviously) and i have question. I would also like to start by saying i have looked around and haven't found a thread close to what i want.

I have 2 home stereo towers. Both have a tweeter and a mid range speaker along with one 10" and one 12" speaker in a duel ported home stereo tower. 300w at 8ohms for each tower. i have a receiver that is powering 350w 2 ch at 8ohms BUT the 12" just isn't giving me the lows that i want..

Now for my question.
I want to get 2 different 12" speakers and i want some that have good lows.
relatively cheap. I really don't want to buy a new receiver so i would like to stay somewhere under 400w.

Not sure if you need more info like if i need to look and tell you the specs of the 12" sub.

Budget? Can help more if you have something to go by other than just needing a 12" tower.

A decent tower doesn't need a 10 or 12" woofer to play low. Arx A3 towers have only a pair of 5.25" XBL2 woofers that play down to 47hrz +/-3db.

If you're looking for tower speakers you'd be better off asking in the speaker sub forum.

If you're looking for a subwoofer, check the budget subwoofer thread.

Sounds like you are looking to replace the current 12" drivers in your towers with new drivers. If this is the case, you have other factors to consider. The box tuning, crossovers, maybe high pass filters..... You would be better off getting a decent sub to handle the lows then you would screwing around with the speaker design.

I Don't need a new tower just different 12" speakers.
the subwoofer that is in it is Technics eas30pl313a6 is there another sub that i could get that hits better lows without upgrading to a whole new system?

Could i not buy another 8ohm speaker about the same power rating and replace it for one that will hit lower.

Is the tower ported or sealed. I did a google search and didn't get anything on that model. Check out Parts-Express.com they have a hugh selection of woofers. Their tech support could help you decide which woofer would work best for you.

Yes, but it won't achieve anything. A ported box is tuned to a very narrow low end. This is done by the box volume and the port length/diameter. Below the tuning point, a ported enclosure will fall off quickly. Both ported and sealed designs are a system based on the driver, the enclosure, and for ported, the port tubes. So changing one piece isn't going to achieve what you think it should. If you go to the DIY forum, they can help you model it with a driver and port change and keeping the same enclosure volume. I'm sure they can get you a little lower.
