Sony VPL-HW30, warranty, online, etc

Hi guys, i was recommended this projector after some discussion regarding the JVC HD250 and JVC RS45 projectors.

Because we would like to game on the projector, the sony seems to have much better options regarding lag, etc.

What i am trying to determine is whether Sony is like JVC in regards to internet sales. I know they only deliver these higher end sony's to local retailers, but i cant find anywhere on their website that states the warranty is void if bought online, whereas on the JVC site it clearly states this in red text.

This is a big kicker for me because the sony is 700 more than the hd250 which is hard to justify just for gaming performance (yes i know its 3d also, but 3d is low on my list of things i care about) But, it can be had from reputable online stores for quite a bit less than that.

For the record, I've owned many projectors (including 3 JVCs) and I've never noticed any gaming lag. I play mostly first person shooters as well.

Sort of unrelated...I would not buy an HD250 now unless you got a screaming deal. At only $700 less, never. Heck you can get an RS45 for nearly the same price as an HD250 (which I might add is essentially discontinued and really an RS10 in a different case). It was great when it first came out, but now is a bit old, especially for the $2500 retail price.
