Yi. Sorry about the B17 comment. It was just a shot in the dark. First plane that came to mind when you said you were looking backwards. I imagined you being a tail gunner.

I've been using HD Masters settings for a while and they look great...As well as D-Nice and BlackOps, but these guys settings seem to make my colors a lil more vibrant and "pop". They even made my FiOS content look better. I don't see any skin tone problems or anything like that either. Of course I kept my contrast and brightness down as my 60GT50 is in a dark room because these guys had contrast at 100 and brightness at 72 eek.gif I also brought the gamma down to 2.4 rather than 2.6 but kept everything else they posted.

Voodoo? Wasnt it. It was kind of unique with the wings that would sweep in flight. Like the F14 Tomcat. My thanks as well for the service. smile.gif

I know this is completely off topic so apologies to the GT50 crowd, no Aardvark lol The saying in my squadron was "if your wings don't sweep you ain't Sh**"

You can fit a B17 under the wing. I was too tall and too young to be a B17 tail gunner. We had B50s in advanced flight school. The two Aircraft Performance Engineers looked backwards. The two of us were able to watch our wing tip clip the tall grass along the edge of the runway while the pilots were busy trying to get the damed wing back up for a go around..

I guess we should worry about the fate of AVS along with Panasonic. If plasma displays rapidly fade from the market, AVS will take a huge hit in posting volume. I can't imagine AVS without the fear of image retention driving hits sky high. wink.gif

Grass stains can be a pain.

At least this off topic time has revealed the burden of IR for a while. wink.gif

It was just my first thought because he said he was facing backwards. I know fighters and bombers pretty well but I dont know enough about cargo and tanker planes to even guess something like that. Other than the C130 gunship smile.gif.
I just looked up the B50 because I didnt know what it was. I wasnt all that far off. A couple of generations but the same concept. I guess it fits in between the B29 and B52. I see now what htwaits meant about a B17 fitting under the wing.

I would just like to say that I've had this tv (60") for about 6 months with no problems at all. If panasonic really does leave the plasma business, it will be a sad day for consumers.

I can't afford an oled! And there's no way I'm gonna deal with led backlit viewing angles and backlight bleeding.

I think we would have to make do with a set that has local dimming. Even then, LCDs just look lifeless to me.

The B50 was basically a B29 with super charged engines and other minor changes. We flew them in advanced flight school.

The B36 was originally designed to bomb Europe if England fell. Four jet engines, six 28 cylinder super charged radial engines facing to the rear. The flight deck crew consisted of two engineers (me), and two pilots. There was no refueling, so the trip to Russia would have been one way. The B36 force was replaced with B52s shortly after I left to go back to college. "Off we go, into the wild blue ... " biggrin.gif

"Long ago, in a Galaxy far far away ..."

One of two in existence and there is a good chance I flew on it.

OK, I'll stop now. wink.gif

I know the B36. My Dad was an aircraft mechanic on an aircraft carrier right before the Korean War. He served on the Enterprise among others. Thats where I get my love for planes. smile.gif

Can be more than a couple of weeks, unless you are getting an absolute steal on the GT50 I would wait, do you have a particular need for the THX modes ?
Does the ST60 have THX modes like the GT50 did?
