Is 2012 LG LS5600 IPS?

Have you seen one in a local B&M? If so, just do a loupe test to check out the pixel pattern and note the entire product code in case LG has changed the letter in the fourth position of the product code ("W" for 2010 and "Y" for 2011). Apparently there is also a way to determine the panel type by looking thru the air vents in the back of the tv and noting the panel type code. You can then look it up on a site (don't have the url handy) which is supposed to give a detailed listing of the panel specs based on the panel code. Don't know how accurate it is though.

As far as 4:4:4 goes, you'll probably need the manual so see if it's listed or just call LG support.

I just ordered a LG 37LS5600 Canadian model and the TV should be arriving by Wednesday next week.

From what I've read on translated European forums the LS5600 series in PAL 50Hz has a S-MVA/A-MVA panel and not IPS. I'm not sure if these applies to Canadian models since Canada is NTSC 60Hz but I'll check and reply when the TV arrives next week.
