Audyssey - Subwoofer Config Question

Greeting-
I purchased a Definitive Technology SC2000 to fit behind my couch. I'm running Audyssey on my Onkyo 709 and it says to adjust the subwoofer to 75db. When I turn the subwoofer all the way down, the ambient noise in the room is about 40DB.

To adjust the level of the sub properly, should I add 75 to the 40 for the right level?

...Great little subs them Supercubes are! I had a SC2000 last week on trial now have a SC4000. Might have to take it back and get the SC2000 again, almost too much bass for my living room!
