My ARX tweeters are covered by an ultra-fine mesh and then the metal grate. Damage would require much planning and some serious level of malicious intent for a child to damage them. Also, BG Neo3 tweeters have this same basic design.
As an ignorant child, I once ripped one of my Dad's Epicure model Twenty Plus's inverted dome cloth tweeter with a curious finger (this was after being warned multiple times). I couldn't sit down for a week after that. :/
