Best Video Camera For UFO Videos

Canon HF G10 it's in your budget and works better in low light than most cameras.
Otherwise get a decent DSLR camera and use it's video mode.
Video is not as good as taking still pics. You want to be able to enlarge the pics as much as possible to enhance detail, but if it's miles off or if it's ball lightning then not much will help.

Pointing a video camera at something in the sky in low light will give you exactly what you want, a shaky, noisy, indistinct image you can use to convince yourself it is a UFO, but make it impossible for anyone else to recognise what it really is.

I had a friend convinced they were surrounded by spirits due to the appearance of "orbs" in photographs, no matter how many times you said it was just out of focus bits of dust caught in the camera flash they wouldn't accept it. We had arguments about, you couldn't make them see any sense, it was like a religion to them, all common sense left them over it. They denied in many photographs that the flash was even used "so it wasn't that".

It got to the point they would holiday in old dark cottages as they always had more spirits than modern places so became a sort of ghost hunter. Of course the explanation is simply old dark cottages require flash photography and have loads of dust, but they wouldn't accept it.

When they moved to a digital camera in order to see in "real-time" if their spirits were with them, which they often were of course, I was able to take everyone of those photographs and using the image data saved with it, prove in each one the flash was used even when they said the flash hadn't fired. So that evidence, an Internet article about it and the fact "orbs" were being spotted in Ebay photo's, they accepted the fact they were just being silly and needed to do more housework!

This same friend also regularly spotted UFO's, but on occasions I were with them and they pointed out what they thought was a UFO, I just saw a plane or a silver helium balloon!

My point is, you can make yourself believe anything.

The best cameras to capture UFO would be a one with alot of noise, no autostabilizer, bad colors and analog tape.

Because those cameras always manage to capture UFOs. Pro cameras seem to scare them away.

But the T3i would work fine, its 3X native zoom function is handy in combination with a good lens.

Sadly it's true, no decent camera has caught anything like a UFO on film digital or otherwise.
I'm sure the Govt likes this as most UFO's are likely painted black, fly around Area 51 (base for developing secret prototype aircraft) and are camera shy.

I can bet the OP's question has never been asked on any video forum since the invention of the web.

I've done that! But, I don't think anyone took my picture because my airplane was white.

Color me impressed if you were flying around Area 51 in a white aircraft and survived the Govt shooting you down.

I think most people have seen strange stuff in the sky, I have, but that doesn't mean I believe they are aliens in flying saucers.
Prototype and secret aircraft would be my guess for a lot of and the the rest hard to say but lots of weird stuff that's natural out there.

It was white, small, light weight, made of fiberglass, had a big motor, was aerobatic and fast. A "restricted area" is marked on the charts and you are supposed to fly AROUND it, not through it. There are lots of "restricted areas".

I used to fly a Cessna way way back and you can get into serious S#it flying into any restricted zone. But around Area 51 you'll likley get shot down.
The green and red lights on a plane are a dead giveaway. UFO's or secret aircraft don't use port and starboard marking lights.

You'll want a camera with a CCD sensor and not a CMOS sensor. The CCD sensor will give you a much clearer image for your intended use.

Your imagination is getting over stimulated. I have 5000 hours, mostly in small planes with propellers. Some of it was as a Navy Pilot. I even have landed on an aircraft carrier a few times. I worked for Cessna for awhile. Until last December I was a flight instructor in float planes.

A few pilots have been "escorted" back to the airport for getting in the way of Air Force One, but no private pilot in a Cessna has ever been shot down in the USA in my lifetime of flying airplanes.
