Replace 7.1 AVR witha Peachtree Nova?

This is my current setup:

Panasonic 65ST30 Plasma
Pioneer VSX-1021 7.1 AVR
Apple TV
PS3
Comcast Cable
Energy S10.3 Subwoofer
2 PSB Bookshelf Speakers

I'm thinking of replacing my AVR with a Peachtree Nova because 1) I don't have a surround sound setup, 2) the Tube Amp looks cool, 3) for the DAC, and 4) because I'm getting a lot of HDMI handshake issues which are really pissing me off.

What do you guys think? I listen to mostly electronic trance music and will use it for the cable box as well.

I would wait for the Nova 125 but the timeframe is several months away so the Nova is what I'm looking at now.

If you don't need surround, you could do worse than Peachtree.

I have an original Decco that sounds better than my AVR for music, though it's hard to compare as it's in an office with different speakers.

The nice thing about the Peachtree is that you could use it in HT bypass mode and keep your Pioneer in case you want to get into surround.

I'm pretty sure I don't want surround as I listen to music mostly and don't care for surround for speakers. Plus I rather splurge on a 2.1 system rather than get a mediocre 5.1 system.

I like the decca, but I need an input from 1) cable box, 2) ps3, and 3) apple tv. The decca only has 1 optical i think. the nova has 2.
