monoprice 25ft 22awg hdmi any good

Monoprice cables are a great buy. I have been using them for years. Just remember that this cable is very heave and you might also want to buy a few "port savers." I have used hundreds of their cables over the years and have had only 2 that were bad. CNET the New York Times and CNN rate their cables as very good buys. I do suggest that you get the high speed cables for longer runs. I am using a Monoprice 25' cable with a JVC projector and 3d passes with no problem.

14-16 ft. should be fine. I was using a 25 foot and I had problems until I switched to a Blue Jeans cable. After this and a few issues with short mono price cables I made the switch for all cabling. YMMV

The cables are great. I have bought many through the years for video and audio with never a problem. I have a 2 projector setup with each using a 35 ft. Hdmi cable and the images are beautiful.

Using 2 75ft cables and very little to no problems.

I bought a 35' hdmi cable with the same thickness. Never had a problem once with dropouts or any other type of signal loss issue. Monoprice makes fantastic cables.

I agree with the statement regarding the JVC without proper calibration. Using it with a DVDO I-Scan duo and CMS one can often fix the issues mentioned. This year it seems that the Epson is a great all around good choice. Regarding cables I agree that Monoprice ones are fantastic for their low cost.

I using a 25' monoprice 22 gauge cable I purhased 6 years ago with my JVC RS40 and it has no issues with either running 3D or with any 2D 1080p mode, including using deep color. I have the 25' cable running from my Denon AVR-3311 to a ceiling HDMI outlet (also purchased from monorpice) then I'm running a 6 ft. monoprice cable from the ceiling HDMI outlet to the projector.

nice to read all the good reviews about Monoprice. I guess the problems with the credit cards have been resolved.. I remember there was an issue with card info being stolen..I need a few HDMI cables, going on the site now..

The credit card issue was resolved about a year ago. Monoprice did the right thing they took their site down for a week unitl the problem was fixed. The company is very consumer oriented and offers great support.

I've used Monoprice and have no problems with them, but I prefer Tartan Cable. Tartan Cable is part of Blue Jeans Cable; the low priced part. They're very high quality and low priced.

The funny this is that the cable used for most tartan cables are produced by the same supplier as Monoprice cables the Copartner company in China. Monoprice usually sells their cables for a little less. Both companies offer great support.

Yes, Copartner is the OEM supplier for a good many companies regardless of the brand name; some of the very high priced ones too.

What I didn't like about some of the Monoprice cables is the addition of the ferrite cores. The ferrite cores add additional weight to the already delecate HDMI conection and can get in the way especially if your pulling the cable through a wall. I have seen no real benifit in noise reduction with the addition of the ferrite cores on the Monoprice cables.

I think this is probably the way to go if you like or need a more flexible cable. And for runs 25' and longer, this should be the one to get. Best price I've seen for RedMere so far too.

They are excellent. I have used them many many times for personal as well as business use. I always recommend testing before you run them (especially if you are drywalling over them), but rarely do I have issues.

The colors available were very good. My complaint is that the plastic seemed overly thick and stiff enough to damage HDMI connection.

Ron Jones' use of heavy 25-ft followed by shorter (and thinnner) cable seems like an excellent use of low-cost cables.
