Hi there,
Can anything be gained image quality-wise by using a video processor with a bluray1080p/24 image+1080p/24 projector.
Wont all video processors not just pass through a 1080p/24 image.

regards

A 1080p24 signal obviously does not need to be deinterlaced or scaled. A video processor can add sharpening or DNR. Whether you consider that an improvement or not is a matter of personal preference (I turn all those functions off). Perhaps more importantly, a video processor with a full CMS system and gamma controls can allow you to calibrate your display more precisely, which will improve the quality of anything you watch on it.

The Lumagen Radiance video processors support calibration for a 1080p24 input from a Bluray player. They have a CMS system with a full 3D color cube. This means that you will get perfect flesh tones after you calibrate the primary and secondary color points for your display.

You also get fast HDMI source switching, aspect ratio control, 3D format conversion and the ability to use a legacy receiver or Pre/Pro for 3D movies. So there are a lot of reasons to use a Radiance video processor with a 1080p24 video source.
