I have an old dell vostro 1700 machine and I wasn't sure if my computer would be compatible with a blu ray drive, I have been able to find an atapi connector drive on ebay pulled from an inspiron and some other used ones
but the graphics cards and display end bother me
the 8600m graphics card is listed as hdcp compatible, but my computer has a vga out, i do not mind if i can not output the bluray movie in full 1080 or at all as i have a ps3, but would i be able to play movies in full 1080 on the internal display or just 720p or at all?
I only hope i can do 1080 as the screen is 1200 vertical pixels
